Trauma results from any event that overwhelms a person’s capacity to cope. Trauma is our un-metabolized experiences that live in the nervous system and cause dysregulation through disociation /numbness or hyper-vigilance and self sabotaging behaviors. The common result is helplessness. When our capacity to defend ourselves through fight, flight or freeze is not successful, the unskillful survival energies stay stuck in our mobilizing faculties. If we do not learn to use this energy skillfully, we can develop anxiety, panic and other psychosomatic and behavioral problems. Trauma can affect us physically, change our behaviors, intensify our emotions and transform our psyches.
“Traumatic symptoms arise when residual energy from the experience is not discharged from the body. This energy remains trapped in the nervous system where it can wreak havoc on our bodies and minds.” Peter Levine
The desire in this immersive is to uncover hidden truths from Self and to allow spaciousness for integration. With self resourcing tools, clear language around needs and requests, and a deeper understanding of our imbalances we can learn to dance with the energy of our pasts in a healthier and more graceful way. Learning to live with our traumas in an accepting, fully embodied, and curious way can give us life energy back that we lost long ago and create space in our lives for a deeper understanding of the larger picture.

If you feel called to share with your tribe at the lake I would be grateful.
