We have worked with Yoga Alliance to secure a new pathway for you to graduate as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200/ 300/ 500) online during the COVID-19 period. Until further notice there will be 1 online training per year, 4.5 months in total and one hybrid training including a 2 week intensive onsite along with 2.5 months of online training prior. This means twice a year you will have an opportunity to become an international registered yoga teacher with Our Echo Yoga School.
In this training, you are invited to descend into your true embodied power.  To live authentically as yourself in every moment. To shed the masks, face your fears, and free yourself from past limiting conditioning.  This journey of deeper self-observation and transformation requires courage, discipline, truth-telling & a willingness to take personal responsibility for the nature of your experience and growth. Get ready for the spiritual warrior’s path to liberation, where your self-conflicted shackles will no longer bind you to living small, fearful, and tamed.

This teacher training is based on the Tantrik Shaivist path of Buddhism, Hatha, and Meditation. It is also deeply influenced by the Yoga Sutras, the Bhagavad Gita and other Meditation systems from various concentrations. Modern teaching has been applied to this training, but the ancient science of yoga through classical application will stay intact and sacred to the practice. With proper education, will power, and drive students find that their practices begin on the mat, but does not stay there.

This training is a Trauma and Transformation Informed space, meaning the container is one of acknowledgement of the pain you carry, and also the personal commitment to take accountability for releasing any stories of victimhood. Using the tools, processes, and experiences here to move into personal sovereignty, resiliency, and evolution.

This training is deeply influenced by many healing modalities. Some of these influences include Hakomi Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Family Constellations, Non-Violent Communication, Compassionate Inquiry, Existential Kink, Sacred Sexuality, Neo-Tantra, Depth Psychology, Parts Work, and Plant and Animal Medicine.  We begin the journey looking at the roots of our past,  and the possible burdens they may be carrying for us in our current daily lives. We dig into the unintegrated aspects of ourselves that make the path forward unclear and confusing, and we create spaciousness for the integration of any disharmony in the individual mental, physical and energetic processes.  This teacher training course has been put together as a combination of years of experience in overcoming obstacles, challenges, hardships, internal and external abuses, and existential angst at being within the human experience. This is not a simple journey into teaching yogic postures, shapes, and handstands. This is a voyage into the deep unknown, into the abyss of the hero’s journey.

We will focus deeply on our physical shells becoming safe containers for the assimilation of spiritual teachings, and practices. We will look at breath (prana), disempowering belief systems, fear-based reactivity, ineffective communication, and unhealthy habits within our daily spiritual practices. We will find ways to effectively create balance in all areas of our daily life to receive what life is trying to reveal to us. When we are no longer simply surviving, but living from a place of embodied empowerment, confidence, and presence our choices become discerning and endless, and our boundaries well maintained and nurturing.

This yoga training is for all beings in desire for deeper self-exploration and inquiry.  This training is for new aspirants on the spiritual path, for long-time teachers, healers, and facilitators. It is open to any individual that is willing to put in the time, effort, heart, and energy for deep personal transformation. You will find depth here, and challenge, it will not be easy, but it will be memorable, and powerful if you allow it to be.
In addition to the topics listed above we will have an opportunity in our time together to dive into deeper relational aspects of the human experience. As a human being, we are an interpersonal tribe, we need connection more than we may like to admit.  This course will offer tools on how to navigate the realm of relationships. They become our greatest teachers when we can open and accept receiving their wisdom, whether from dark teachings or light.  We learn to take accountability, adopt healthy interdependence, enjoy and trust pleasure, embody confidence and understand our boundaries, needs, and how to make requests.  Our partnerships with loved ones become more joyful, and a source of awakening, expansion, passion, and pleasure.
If you desire to move and begin from a place beyond the scope of asana and into the more transformative, spiritual, energetic practices.... this is the path for you.
There are two paths available, the 200 hour & the 300 hour. They both count towards a 500 hour YA certified training. You must have your 200 hour yoga teacher training in order to apply for the 300 hour path.

Maria Macsay
Following in the path of her mother, Maria stepped into gymnastics, dance, and then, yoga in 2009.  Maria came to her mat as a form of cross-training to help her heal a back injury. What started as an interest in just the physical benefits of yoga, quickly shifted as she noticed that she was able to find solace on her mat during a very stressful time in her life.
Maria went on to become accredited to teach through a 200hr Hatha-Vinyasa training and with a 300-hr Advanced Vinyasa training. And later that year she further deepened her offerings by completing a 50-hr Yin Training.
Her aim is to guide and share the power of embodiment - truly embodying the vessels we are in and tapping into the wisdom within to unlock the truth of what wants to be experienced through us with this one life we are born to live.
In this training, Maria will contribute breath workshops, meridian-based yin sequences, sultry yin-yang flows, embodied emotion-themed Hatha practices, and an exploration of the mind-body connection.
Meet Maria through this yin flow. Her holistic approach to merging the inner and outer experiences passing through our being on the mat is apparent in this short and sweet practice.

Testimonials

Echos teaching training was life changing for me in many ways.
Her energy throughout the training was authentic, empowering, and made me believe in myself more.
Echo really has a gift of guiding and encouraging her students to find their own authentic way of being throughout every phase life has to offer.
-Josie (Austria)

The most intense 4 months of my life! If you want to feel connected to yourself
and feel at home in your body, then take this course. I had only been practicing
yoga for just over a year when I started this training. I was so nervous at first and
was battling with all these self-limiting beliefs that I was some sort of imposter
and I should be there. That wasn’t the case at all. You don’t need to be super
bendy, nor do you need to spend an hour a day in a headstand. What you do
need is a curious mind and open heart. The most important thing this training
taught me was that there is no light without darkness and that’s ok. I used to
think that to be truly happy, I shouldn’t ever have bad thoughts or bad days. Now
I know that when I feel a shadow over me, I don’t need to be scared of it. I can
step inside my divine darkness and uncover the unmet needs. This training has
given me the tools to explore, adapt and grow and it gave me a safe space to be
authentic and vulnerable. I’m sad it’s over – if I could turn back time and do it all
over again I would in a heartbeat!
-Gemma (UK)

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Everything is very professional.
Awesome teachers with so much knowledge and ambition. It is quite intensive and a lot
of work but everything so interesting. Wonderful friends that I learned so much from and
it was magical to see what a beautiful connection can be made through our computer
screen. We cried together, danced, laughed, breathed and supported each other
through this journey. I will never forget these 4 months that we spent together and I will
be forever grateful.
-Siljah (Iceland)

This training has given me the tools to be a successful guide to be a yoga asana instructor… but even beyond that this training has taken me on an exploration of my internal and external worlds. The reflective writings truly helped me absorb a lot of what I was learning, but also see it and interpret it through my own understanding. You are fully embraced with being your own unique individual - all humans welcome. I’ve learned to accept myself and the world around me more wholly and love more deeply - while dipping my toes into becoming more authentic. It was no easy ride, but well worth the life long exploration it has brought me. This is truly a journey in the art of being whole and a 3 month journey of bringing it full circle.
-Taylor (United States)

Full Circle: Art of Being Whole is exactly what it says it is. It truly is the art of being whole. We as a society, especially women, learn to dissociate from our bodies, heart and spirits, but in this training we dive into looking into ourselves and embodying our true divine expression. I am so in love with myself as well as the world around me. I have a deep, profound relationship with myself and I couldn’t have gotten to this place without the tools that were provided to help me get there. Radical self love is real and it’s here to stay! This training has truly been a transformative experience and I will carry the precious moments with me.
I became part of a beautiful sangha that encouraged every aspect of growth. I learned how to find proper alignment within a pose and found that I can listen to my body and do what’s best for me. This is my body, my experience, my practice and I honor that.
- Ariel (United States)

The training was transformational. The instructors are so cool—down to earth and completely professional. The setup for the training was perfect—we learned basics, then yin, tantra, dharma, trauma-sensitive yoga and non-violent communication all while creating our own practices. We became instructors while also learning how to become lifelong students. I love my sangha so much!!!! We all have developed lifelong friendships—we’ve laughed, cried, struggled, excelled, and grown together.
Through this training, I woke up. I came home to myself in my body. I learned that it is okay to be a human be-ing rather than a human that is always doing. There is so much life in being here, now, in this body. The space that Echo creates is one for growth and love.
- Casie (United States)
